Dallas Morning News endorses Judge Don Adams for re-election over both of his primary opponents.

The emdorsement said in part, "Judge Adams, 59, is regarded as a hard-working, reasonable and fair judge. That latter quality might explain why prosecutors and defense attorneys alike praise him.

He inherited a court with a high cost-per-disposition ratio and lowered it to one of the best by handling more pleas and jury trials."

November 2, 2004 is a day that will go down in the history books for me personally and for voters in Dallas County. On that day, I, Don Adams, was elected to Criminal District Court No. 2.

Since my election as your judge in this court, I have been pleased to act on your behalf protecting the interests of our neighborhoods by assuring that the rights of victims and accused are preserved.

Prior to my election, Criminal District Court No. 2 had the highest cost per case disposition among the Dallas County criminal district courts. Through my efforts, the court has become more efficient and now has one of the lowest costs per disposition while protecting the rights of the accused to a fair jury trial.

Your vote made the difference in the 2004 election. I am now asking for your vote in the March Democratic Primary and the November General election so that I can continue as your Dallas County Criminal District Court #2 judge and work to further improve our criminal justice system.
